Street Beatz was founded by Jess in 2008 and has quickly established as one of the South’s leading street dance academies. With many sell out theatrical productions, dance performances at London’s O2 as well as welcoming, friendly weekly classes, Jess prides herself on building a dance school that offers young dancers a chance to have fun, make new friends, and learn dance technique/performance skills in a relaxed, laid-back atmosphere. More than anything, her passion is to watch the children grow in confidence and ability while having fun and making lifelong friendships. To her Street Beatz is a dance family, a community that helps develop local children and encourages them to flourish in all aspects. After dancing throughout her childhood, studying dance at school and college, Jess then chose to change direction and graduated with a BA Hons degree in Fashion. However, she never lost her passion for dance and by her third year at Uni decided she wanted to launch a dance school/brand as her Final Major Project, thus Street Beatz was born! Since then she has become a fully qualified Street Dance teacher with the N.A.T.D, a member of Street Dance International, has been awarded the Southampton City Council “Quality Mark” for afterschool clubs and has recently qualified as an “Early Movers” instructor with N.A.T.D.
